In showing our support for the Ukrainian state, we have also hoisted the Ukrainian flag alongside the Latvian and European flags.
We have received an invitation from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Latvia, Oleksandr Mishchenko, to the support of the Latvian municipalities in their fight against the Russian military aggression.
By signing a decree, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was declared Unity Day on 16 February 2022, calling on the world community to show support for Ukraine.
