Remigrants kindly invited to the meeting in Cesis

Sunday, on March 26th, from 15.00 – 18.00 in the art space “Mala”, Lenču street 11, Cēsis, networking afternoon for remigrants “My homes in Vidzeme” will be held. Inga Madžule, the remigration coordinator of the Vidzeme planning region, kindly invites to meet up and have friendly conversations.

The networking afternoon “My home in Vidzeme” is intended to start a tradition of regular informal meetings of remigrants – each time in a different city of the Vidzeme region. “My home in Vidzeme” will be waiting for both those who moved back to Vidzeme from abroad not long ago, as well as those who made their choice many years ago.

At the meeting, the participants will have an opportunity to discuss issues affecting life abroad and in Latvia, share experiences, and get to know each other better. I. Madžule tells about the idea: “We are organizing the meeting because our daily work with remigrants confirms that such meetings between remigrants are necessary. You do not feel alone and you have the opportunity to meet people similar to you who have also returned to Latvia. The exchange of ideas can encourage, inspire. Friendly conversations allow you to realize that the challenges you face are not unique. By organizing this networking afternoon, I try to bring people together to make new acquaintances, maybe even friendships. It is important to create a sense of community and to realize that there are people nearby who can support.”

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development (VARAM) and Vidzeme Planning Region implement the function “Implementation of the norms of the Diaspora Law (Support measure for promotion of remigration “Regional Remigration Coordinator”)”.
